Setup help

Android didn't show the WiFi setup page?

Good news: this is a known quirk with how some Android phones handle this step, not anything wrong with your clock. Here's the fix.

Step 1

Open a browser

Once your phone is connected to the clock's WiFi network ("WaveClock-Setup"), open a web browser — Chrome, or whatever you normally use.

Step 2

Type in the address bar

Type this into the address bar:

http://192.168.4.1

Step 3

Press go

That should bring up the setup page directly, where you can pick your home WiFi network and enter your password.

A couple of things that trip people up:
  • Make sure it's http:// and not https:// — some phones auto-add the "s" and the page won't load that way.
  • If your phone shows a pop-up saying something like "WiFi has no internet, stay connected?" — say yes, that's expected.

Give that a try and see if it gets you through!

Still stuck?

If it's still not working after that, just let us know what phone and Android version you're on, and we'll dig in further.
