How it works

Buddy checks the real conditions, then acts them out

Every hour, Buddy looks at the real tide, wind, waves, and sky for your exact town -- the same data your Tide screen already uses -- and picks whichever of these actually fits today. The headline always shows the real specific detail (the tide time, the wind speed, the swell height) -- never made up.

Rain today? Buddy's got his umbrella up.
Windy? He's out flying a kite.
Big swell? He's up and riding it.
Calm, small waves? Paddleboard day.
A high or low tide coming up during the day? He calls it out, right down to the time.
Sunrise or sunset happening right now? He's watching it -- sunset from the end of a bayside dock.
After dark? He's stargazing, under tonight's real moon phase.
Great fishing conditions? He's out on the jetty with a rod.
Otherwise, just a perfect calm day? Buddy mixes it up -- lounging under his umbrella, riding his beach cruiser along the boardwalk, or grabbing coffee and donuts -- so it's not the same scene every calm day.
